DIN

The DIN is a standard that was developed by the "Deutsches Institut für Normung" (which could be called the organization of national standards in Germany). Rack unit (U)

There are different cabinet heights depending on the installation needs, this height can be measured in rack units (U).

D - Plate: It has a rectangular or square plate on its surface, it includes 4 or more fixing holes at the base, it is one of the most common.
E - Smooth rod: The rod without thread fits into the female of the base, it can be found in typical office chairs with wheels, TV cabinet etc.
