Enphase IQ8M and IQ8+ IQ8-72-M-INT microinverter
More info
IQ8 Series Micro Inverter
The smartest microinverter yet.
The latest IQ8 microinverters are compatible with Smart Grids and designed for the latest generation high-efficiency photovoltaic modules.
IQ8 microinverters have the highest power generation and reliability in the industry and, thanks to its quick shutdown functionality, it meets the strictest safety standards.
IQ8 microinverters are CE certified and comply with several legislations only when installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Safety first
By design, the microinverter is the safest choice for solar energy. Unlike systems incorporating a central inverter, solar PV alone never contains high-voltage direct current (DC), eliminating the risk of fire.
Certified performance in good or bad weather
All IQ8 microinverters are weather resistant with IP67 certification. With a double-insulated, corrosion-resistant polymer housing, they are designed to withstand almost any hazard that nature may impose on them.

The energy in the palm of your hand
Find out how much energy you produce, consume and save in real time or view reports over a period of time. Change your system settings and get important service messages, all from a single user interface.
A responsive and responsible system
Enphase Energy Systems incorporate a quick shutdown feature so that in the event of an emergency, solar power can be switched off easily and instantaneously, ensuring the safety of utility and first aid workers.
A system ready for today and tomorrow
The solar photovoltaic system is a plug-and-play system.
As your home's energy needs increase over the years, an installer can simply plug in more solar panels and microinverters.
A bright idea, even in low light conditions
If shadows or clouds fly over your home, Enphase IQ8 Series microinverters implement revolutionary Burst Mode technology to capture more energy in low-light conditions.
IQ Gateway (optional)
IQ8 microinverters integrate with the IQ Gateway to keep your system fully connected to the Enphase Cloud network for remote monitoring via Enphase Apps.
IQ8 Series with integrated Type MC4 connectors
Quickly and easily connect PV modules to IQ8 Series with built-in Type MC4 connectors.
IQ Cables (optional)
Install microinverters quickly and safely with IQ Cable. With 3P IQ Cable cabling, the installed capacity is automatically distributed evenly over the three phases.
Limited Warranty
IQ microinverters are backed by a 25-year limited warranty, the best warranty in the industry.*
*Valid provided an IQ Gateway connected to the Internet is installed.
How Enphase IQ microinverters work
The Enphase microinverter maximizes energy production using a sophisticated algorithm, the supplied power optimizer (MPPT). Each Enphase microinverter is individually connected to a PV module in your field. This configuration allows an MPPT to control each PV module. In this way, the maximum available power of each PV module is exported to the power grid without being influenced by the performance of the other PV modules in the field. Even if some PV modules in the field are shaded, dirty, misoriented or mispaired, each Enphase microinverter guarantees optimal performance of the PV module associated with it.

According to the IEC60364 standard, using an IQ Cable of 2.5mm² section a safety factor of 1.25 applies to the maximum permissible current. The maximum current then allowed in the IQ Cable is 16A. The safety factor applied may vary depending on local regulations and also depending on the selected overcurrent protection device.

Center Feeding is the best practice. This design recommendation keeps the voltage rise and resistance inside the IQ Cable within acceptable limits. In locations with high grid voltages at the grid connection, it may be necessary to reduce the number of microinverters per IQ Cable by up to 50%.
