With the diversification of energy and equipment use, the interactive use of alternating current and direct current and products with many different waveform signals, we need higher level residual current protection circuit breakers to protect our personal safety and avoid the danger of electric shock.

Type B RCD RCCB General:

Type B RCD differential circuit breakers, in addition to normal alternating current, can detect high frequency AC and pure DC ground leakage currents.
The reduction of the risk of fire and/or electrocution through the automatic disconnection of the power supply is based on the selection of the right type of RCCB.
The RCCB provides mutual protection to the operator's body under conditions such that exposed live parts must be connected to a suitable grounding pole. The RCCB also provides protection against the fire hazard caused by the ground fault current due to a failure in the operation of the overcurrent protection device.

Advice:

1. RCCB with rated sensitivity up to 10mA could be used as an additional protective device in the situation where the protective device fails.
2. RCCB designed for home installation and other similar applications, is usually used for non-professional operation (no maintenance is required).
3. RCCB provides protection against electric shock resulting from direct contact of the two protected lines, or the leakage current between these two lines.
4. It is recommended to install special devices such as surge protection devices, lightning arrester, etc. on the upstream line to the RCCB as a precaution against the potential surge voltage and current that occurs at its power input.
